We help you find the perfect destination for you to work, stay and play. We also like to provide other useful hints and tips to help make your digital nomad life that little bit easier.
We also run our own retreats where you can meet like minded people where people gather to work, share ideas and explore amazing destinations and cultures around the work. We want to make the process easy for you, just book one of our destinations and your own travel and we will take care of the rest.
During a recent survey of business leaders at the Global Leadership Summit in London, 34 percent stated that more than half of their company’s full-time workforce would be working remotely by 2020. And another 25 percent said that more than 75 percent would not work in a traditional office by 2020. Allowing great opportunities for many people to explore and travel to destinations whilst still earning a living.
Basically they are suitable for anyone that wants to spend an extended period of time in a location surrounded by a group of amazing people. This is not a holiday! This is for people who want to work, or are even in education.
Our retreats may be suitable for; developers, designers, bloggers, writers, entrepreneurs, marketers, customer support agents, freelancers, basically anyone that can work from a laptop away from the standard office.
We offer 3 types of Retreats. City, Resort and Rustic.
City- Most city retreats (read the description before you book) will be in city centre apartments, surrounded by great facilities to eat out and transport links to help explore the area. The length of these trips usually will last 10 days. These retreats are usually on the lower end of the budget are group sizes will vary from 5-9 people
Resort- The resort retreats are predominately located in hotels, and because of that make use of the full facilities including onsite restaurants, bars and daily maid service. These destinations are usually prices higher and suitable for longer stays, either 14 or 28 days. Group sizes range from 15-25. The resort style retreats are what Nomad Retreats excel in, all the hotels will offer something unique, we will never stay in a BOG STANDARD hotel. Every stay will offer a high standard of living at an affordable price.
Rustic- These retreats take place in the more uncommon locations. All the important felicities will be provided inducing WiFi but you should expect to stay in some really unique destinations such as a Caribbean beach hut or a Moroccan Riad.
Many people when they travel to other countries on a budget end up staying in hostels or cheap accommodation. Yes, sometimes cheap accommodation is great, you can find some real gems but we do not believe Hostels are the best places to stay, they are great for back packing and a gap year but not necessarily when you spend all day at a computer screen working. Our accommodation ranges from 4* hotels to rustic beach huts and cosy inner city apartments, the budgets and the packages offered also change from location to location. So read the description for each destination before you book.
All of our packages will allow you to choose a single room, but these will cost slightly more. If you are happy to share a room you will be matched with a person of the same sex unless you state who you want to share with.
Typically, each retreat will last from 12-28 days, depending on the package booked.
No you do not need to, but you can only purchase trips that last 12 days, 14 days or 28 days. If you arrive early or leave late you will not be given a refund for the days you did not stay.
The work spaces vary from destination. You can of course work in your rooms as WiFi will be available. A joint work space will be provided in the location where you are staying. Each work space will come with WiFi, tables, chairs and enough room for you to get your work done.
We work hard and also play hard. At the end of the day you need to work to be able to pay for your travels, so that is the most important thing. You will however have plenty of opportunities to explore the area where you are staying, immerse yourself in the local culture and get to know you fellow Nomads better.
